§ 2-176. Members; duties.

The board of fire and police commissioners shall be composed of seven members appointed by the mayor with the consent of the city council, which board shall have all powers conferred and all duties imposed by article 10, division 2.1, chapter 24, Illinois Revised Statutes, (65 ILCS 5/10-2.1-1 et seq.) except as limited, expanded or otherwise superseded by any ordinance of the city.
